New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community

Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Sean Rivas, and I am honored to announce my candidacy for the San Fernando City Council. I am deeply committed to serving our community and ensuring that the needs of our residents are met while addressing the quality of life issues that matter to us all.

With over two decades of dedicated service to our community, my journey in public service began over 20 years ago with the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation & Parks. Concurrently, I've had the privilege of working with the youth of our community for the past 14 years within LAUSD, including a tenure at San Fernando High School. Additionally, I currently serve on the City of San Fernando Planning Commission, appointed by the Mayor. I am a proud member of member of AFSCME Local 741 and Teamsters 572.

Having engaged in conversations with many of my neighbors, it is evident that we all cherish living in our city. However, we recognize the need to advocate for and protect the quality of life that we value, especially in light of the challenges facing the greater Los Angeles region.

I am running for office because I believe we can do better. Through my interactions with families and youth in our community, I have gained a deep understanding of the pressing issues we face. My professional background, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of local governance, equips me with the necessary tools to bring about positive change.

I am committed to working tirelessly to address the concerns of our residents and to ensure that San Fernando remains a vibrant and thriving community for all.

That is why I am running for City Council- to bring my passion and experience home to serve you and our families. I hope I can earn your support.
